In a strategic move marking its expansion into the U.S. market, Parks Hospitality Holdings, a prominent hospitality developer and hotel owner, has officially acquired Boston Park Plaza. Located at 50 Park Plaza in Boston’s central Back Bay neighborhood, this iconic 1,060-key property is set to undergo a transformation into the Hilton Boston Park Plaza as part of PHH’s comprehensive post-acquisition rebranding initiative.
The Boston Park Plaza, with its prime location just four miles from Boston Logan Airport, offers guests convenient access to iconic landmarks such as Boston Common, Boston Public Garden, the Theater District, and the Arlington T Station. Originally opened in 1927 as The Statler Hotel, this historic landmark has hosted dignitaries, U.S. Presidents, and celebrities over the years, witnessing ownership changes from Conrad Hilton in 1954 to a local family in 1976.
The hotel boasts 1,060 modern rooms, celebrating New England’s legacy in its design. Unique suites, including the Presidential Suite and Garden Suite, offer luxury amenities such as private terraces and bars. Guests can indulge in culinary delights at the signature restaurant, Off the Common, or savor Italian delicacies at Strega Italiano. Additionally, the hotel features an onsite Starbucks and a comprehensive room service menu.
In terms of amenities, Boston Park Plaza provides access to the Lynx Fitness Club, offering 20,000 square feet of health facilities. Noteworthy features include Boston’s first Topgolf Swing Suite and the only Leica Store and Gallery in New England. Corporate travelers can benefit from the FedEx Business Center.
With 70,000 square feet of event space, the hotel is well-equipped to host events of all scales. The Grand Ballroom, adorned with Baccarat Crystal chandeliers, provides a luxurious setting, while alternative venues like Avenue 34 offer a modern twist.
As part of the Hilton family, Boston Park Plaza now offers the exclusive Hilton Honors program, providing guests with instant benefits, including a flexible payment slider, an exclusive member discount, free standard Wi-Fi, and the Hilton Honors mobile app.
This acquisition signifies Parks Hospitality Holdings’ commitment to expanding its footprint in key U.S. cities, fostering partnerships with industry leaders like Hilton, and delivering exceptional hospitality experiences to guests.
