Axel & Byrne is a remarkable addition to Boston’s culinary scene, created by renowned restaurateurs Sean and Sue Olson. Located at 267 Patriot Place in Foxborough, Massachusetts, it is their second independent restaurant venture, following the success of their first concept, Salt + Stone, which opened its doors in 2022 in Somerville, MA to critical acclaim.
With over 30 years of experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry, Sean and Sue have developed a deep understanding of every aspect of the business. They have owned and managed a variety of restaurant brands, worked with independent catering companies, and sourced and cooked with fresh seafood and meat markets. Their vast knowledge and expertise are evident in every aspect of Axel & Byrne’s operation, from the ingredients they select to the ambiance they create.
The restaurant is set to impress with its stunning design and lively atmosphere. Noted restaurant designer Kyla Coburn has brought the 2,056 square-foot space to life, incorporating stylish touches such as floor-to-ceiling windows, exposed brick, and reclaimed wood. Framed historical photos and recipes of the restaurant’s journey add to the ambiance, creating a vibrant space that seats up to 65 guests. For those who enjoy dining al fresco, there is a 15-seat patio available. Guests will also appreciate the state-of-the-art menu boards that guide them through the core menu and daily specials while they wait in line. On busy days, outside ordering is available through guest assistants equipped with iPads, allowing guests to pre-order their meals and skip the line.

In addition, the restaurant offers signature burgers and daily specials. Axel & Byrne is now open April 2023 and hours will be Sunday – Thursday 11:30AM – 9:00PM and Friday and Saturday from 11:30AM – 10:00PM.
